Souvik Chakraborty is an Indian footballer, a midfielder who has, so far in his career, played only for McDowell Mohun Bagan.

The Kolkata League rules require each participating team to have two U-19 players in their roster and hence Souvik was called up to the senior squad. His skillful performances ensured that he remained with the senior squad.

Born in Kolkata, Souvik started playing football because his parents wanted him to be a footballer. Support from his family, he mentions, has helped him come a long way in his football career. Souvik was also a member of the Santosh Trophy-winning Bengal team.

In a Kolkata League match against Kalighat during the 2008-09 season, Souvik was adjudged 'Man of the Match' for the first time while playing for the senior team. He recalls that day as the most memorable day of his McDowell Mohun Bagan career.
