Sangram Mukherjee is an Indian goalkeeper who has been a part of McDowell Mohun Bagan since 2006. One of the most experienced custodians, he has also played for the Indian national team at the Asian Games and Olympic qualifiers.

Hailing from Pandua, West Bengal, Sangram started playing football from an early age and trained at a Sports Authority of India (SAI) facility. After completing his schooling, he joined the Tata Football Academy and moved to Kingfisher East Bengal from there. His stint at the Kolkata club lasted for six successful years, after which he moved on to Salgaocar SC for a season before joining McDowell Mohun Bagan.

Sangram had never won the Federation Cup; winning it with the Green and Maroon Brigade is what he regards as the most memorable moment of his career with the club. He adds that the victories against Kingfisher East Bengal are memorable, too.

" The future looks good for Indian football with a lot of money being invested in the game. Another fact is that Bengal goalkeepers have been doing really well in the I-League and there are many youngsters in Bengal who can make it to the pinnacle of Indian football. They need to keep working hard and they are always welcome to ask me for tips. I would love to help them. "

Sangram likes listening to romantic songs. Kishore Kumar and Lata Mangeshkar are his favourite singers.
