Deepak is an Indian defender who is a product of the Mohun Bagan academy. He joined the senior team in early 2012.

Hailing from Nawanshahr, Punjab, Deepak started playing football during his school days. He trained at the Paldi academy for two years before moving to the Mohun Bagan academy. He worked extremely hard at the academy and impressed the club officials. He was called up to the senior squad as one of the U-19 players for the 2011-12 Calcutta Football League season. 2012 started on a good note for Deepak as he was registered by the club as an I-League player as well.

Deepak hopes to impress with his performances and make inroads into the national squad. The proudest moment of his football career, he said, would be the day he represents India.

Deepak's best match in Mohun Bagan colours was the 6-0 drubbing of Aryans. He said it helped him grow in confidence and that he would cherish this victory for a long time.
