Kolkata Goalz II project trainees visit Science Express

On 5th July 2012, the trainees of Kolkata Goalz II project visited Science Express which was parked at Howrah Station.

Science Express is a unique exhibition train, travelling across India from June to December 2012, with the objective to develop awareness about biodiversity, climate change and similar issues among students and general public. The exhibition train is a collaborative initiative of Ministry of Environment & Forests and Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.

The first 8 coaches hold information about the rich biodiversity zones of our country while the other 4 coaches are devoted to knowledge of science and technology. Some activities included Quiz, Environment Education Games and Pledge for Life.

The trainees who had earlier planted saplings on World Environment Day, expressed their willingness to open “Ecological Club” in the near future.
