Santosh Trophy: Services put six past Chattisgarh

Services were unstoppable in their Group C quarterfinal league encounter as they registered a comfortable 6-0 win over a hapless Chattisgarh side. Farhad's hattrick, Thyagrajan's brace and Horin's goal saw Services move to the top of Group C with six points from two games. The other Group C encounter saw hosts Odisha plau put a 1-1 draw against Haryana. Haryana went into the lead as early as the 8th minute, through Abhishek's goal, but Anta Murmur pulled it back for the hosts in the 44th minute.

Tamil Nadu moved to the top of Group D with a hard fought 4-3 victory over Mizoram. For Tamil Nadu, Jaykumar scored a brace while Murthy and Ramesh scored one apiece. For Mizoram, Lalrinpuia scored two goals and Laldiakulua scored the third goal. The other Group D encounter saw Railways scrape past Delhi 2-1. Lalmohan Hansda put Railways in the lead in the 82nd minute only for Bikash Rawat to restore parity in the 84th minute. Gurpreet Singh sealed the fate of the match in the 86th minute. Railways move to 4 points from two matches while Delhi are yet to open their account.
