Odafa honoured as the Footballer of the year

McDowell Mohun Bagan striker Odafa Okolie was honoured today as the 'Footballer of the Year' in the State by the Calcutta Sports Journalist Club in their Annual Awards Ceremony held at the Town Hall today evening. He received the award from another prolific scorer, Chima Okorie, who is also an ex-Mohun Bagan player. Incidentally, Chima Okorie was instrumental in roping in Odafa Okolie from Churchill Brothers this year.

Another McDowell Mohun Bagan player Sunil Chhetri was felicitated for winning the Arjuna Awards last year, but he could not be present to collect the award.

Coach Sabbir Ali was also felicitated for getting Dhyanchand Award last year.
