McDowell Mohun Bagan likely to play the All Airlines Gold Cup

McDowell Mohun Bagan will likely play in the All Airlines Gold Cup Tournament to be held at the Mohun Bagan ground in August. Mariners will most probably play their 1st match of the season on August 8th, which will be the semi final of the All Airlines Gold Cup, though prior to this match, they might play a couple of exhibition matches. The final of the All Airlines Gold Cup is scheduled to be held on the 11th of August.

Mohun Bagan has so far won the All Airlines Gold Cup 7 times.

The last time Mariners won the tournament in 2005 held at Burnpur, Sushil Singh scored the only goal of the match. (See above picture which shows Sushil Singh cheering after scoring the winning goal in the final match against Mohammedan Sporting).

McDowell Mohun Bagan football team will be starting their training session from the 11th of July and there will likely be a pre-season residential camp to be held in Durgapur from the 15th to 28th July.

After the All Airlines Gold Cup, Mariners will be playing their Calcutta Football League Premier Division matches from mid August.

The Federation Cup will be held in September while the I league will commence in October
