McDowell Mohun Bagan Kolkata Goalz Team supports a noble cause

The McDowell Mohun Bagan Kolkata Goalz Team supported a Noble Cause: to raise donation and create awareness for educating underprivileged girl children, by participating in the Amity Kolkata Half Marathon 2012 (The Royal Bengal Run) which was organized on Sunday, 5th February 2012 by Amity Kolkata.

The race was divided into 2 parts:
•    Dream Run 4 Kms (2 km to and Fro)- for the Mass
•    The Race 14 Kms – for Professional Athletes

The Race was flagged off from Red Road in the Maidan, adjacent to Mohammedan SC Tent on Sunday at 7 am.

The 40 odd trainees and volunteers of McDowell Mohun Bagan Kolkata Goalz ran together for the cause in their traditional Green & Maroon jerseys and with the Club flag in the 4 Km Dream Run. Approximately 6,000 people participated in this Event. Professional African runners and Celebrities from Tollywood participated in this Event.

NDTV telecasted this Event live on TV from 7 to 11 am as Broadcast Partner.

The McDowell Mohun Bagan Kolkata Goalz trainees were an enthusiastic lot and are looking forward eagerly to more such events and opportunities.
