India moves 4 places up in FIFA Rankings
15-Feb, 2012
While 6 honourable men from McDowell Mohun Bagan - Sunil Chhetri, Rakesh Masih, Anwar Ali, Kingshuk Debnath, Manish Maithani, Rahim Nabi - have marched on towards New Delhi for national duties, there's another reason to rejoice for all Team India and Mariner fans!
India has moved up four places to be placed 154th in the latest FIFA rankings. Since none of the top 10 South American and European countries played a match last month, it was the devaluation of points which resulted in a change of points for many national teams in the table, especially India.
This comes as a blessing, coupled with the SAFF Cup win this year for the team who is on their way to play the AFC Challenge Cup 2012.
