Darpan Mohun Bagan Football School inaugurated; Simon & Hudson sign contracts for 1 year

Mohun Bagan has signed a 1 year contract with Simon Storey and Hudson Lima Silva. The other 2 foreigners of Mohun Bagan are Captain Jose Ramirez Barreto and Odafa Okolie.
The Publishing House of Nepali daily Himalaya Darpan - The Darpan Publications and Mohun Bagan Athletic Club signed an agreement today for founding a Football School at Kalimpong called Darpan Mohun Bagan Football School for Hills. Mr. Sandeep Choudhury, Chief Executive Officer of the Darpan Publications and Mr. Anjan Kumar Mitra, Hony. Secretary of Mohun Bagan A.C. were signatories of this document.

Held at the Mela Ground of this town, this event was witnessed by thousands of football lovers and a host of eminent dignitaries like Honorable Minister for North Bengal Development Mr. Gautam Deb, GJMM General Secretary Mr. Roshan Giri, leader of the Women's Front of GJMM Ms. Asha Gurung, Darjeeling MLA Mr. Trilok Dewan, Mr. Dawa Lama and Mr. Mahendra Subba, two senior office bearers of the Darjeeling Sports Association and veteran footballer Mr. Shyam Thapa.

Both Mr. Mitra and Mr. Chowdhury hoped that many Shyam Thapas, Bhaichung Bhutias, Sunil Chhetris would be produced from this school in the near future.
