Bar Puja performed in Mohun Bagan Club

Bar puja - the age-old ritual and tradition, among the football clubs of Kolkata, was performed today in Mohun Bagan Athletic club - The National Football Club of India. Many fans and members of the club came in numbers to wish success to the football team for the coming season.

President Swapan Sadhan Bose, General Secretary Anjan Mitra, Assistant General Secretary Srinjoy Bose, Finance Secretary Debasish Dutta and other officials along with ex players like Prashanta Sarkhel, Satyajit Chatterjee etc. were present to grace the occasion.

Since Mariners have an away match against Salgaocar in Goa today, majority of the players could not make it to the event, but among the players present in Kolkata Murali Joseph, Manish Maithani, Daljit Singh, Sakatar Singh, Jagtar Singh, Deepak etc. were present during the Bar Puja.

The club lawn and the tent were decked up and Sanai was being played at the background. Also, sweet packets were distributed among the supporters and members of the club.
