125th Edition of Durand Cup

1953 - The 1st time Mohun Bagan won the Durand Cup

The 125th Edition of Durand Cup - 2012 is scheduled to be held from 16th August to 2nd September 2012.

The winner of this edition of Durand Cup will be getting Rs. 10 lacs while Rs. 5 lacs will be awarded to the runners up team. The semi finalists will be getting Rs. 2.5 lacs each.

Mohun Bagan has won the tournament 16 times and they share this record with East Bengal.

Mohun Bagan is the only team ever to have won the Durand Cup thrice in a row on two occasions, 1963 to 1965 and then from 1984 to 1986.

The Calcutta Football League Premier Division dates might coincide with the Durand Cup this year, so it is to be seen whether IFA gives permission to the Kolkata teams to participate in this year's Durand Cup or not.
