Academy players coming through is proof that the club's efforts and investments are headed in the right path. Continuing with these efforts will help in building a structured plan to ensure development of talented youngsters for both club and country. |

"As good as this sounds, the numbers have not been very significant and steady. We are still dependent on player signings to fill voids in the squad."

Most European powerhouses thrive on the players their academies churn out. The fact that we are emulating similar success will help the club in the long run and also produce quality players for the national squad.
Players from the academy are not yet playing leading roles in the team. They should be given exposure in smaller tournaments to see if they have the mettle to play for the club at the top flight.

I think the academies should go for a selection of 9 to 12 of the age group.. It would make the choices more valuable

I agree with the motion. I think its good to see young talent always come up. Its good on their part as they get the exposure to show their talent and get to learn a lot from the seniors and vice versa. After all its called TEAM MOHUN BAGAN and discrimination should not be made on the basis of senoirs and juniors. Because talent is not measured in terms of senoirs and juniors. Its something that an individual has to harness over a period of time.

Arijit Basu says:
Football is a game of speed and skill, a good footballer is always skillful at his early age or later days. but the young legs are always helpful to the game planning of the team, at the same young guys are full of energy and they always try to proof themselves so they always try to give more than 100% in the field.
Now a days all the club teams of the world depend on their academy boys because these lads are perfectly grow up according to club motto, so when they start to play for their clubs, then they know exactly that what their club wants, and when these guys are on the field together for their senior team, then the team spirit and chemistry of the team formed double.

We've had reasonable success in this department. These are good signs that the club needs to build on. Academy players should be given international exposure to acclimatize them with the challenges that lie ahead
