Experienced winger Surkumar turns 29

McDowell Mohun Bagan wishes Surkumar Singh a very happy birthday!!!

At 29, he is one of the more experienced player in the squad. He won the Kolkata League in his first season with the Mariners and has been an important member of the squad since joining the club in 2009.

Blessed with a lethal right foot, Surkumar has scored some astonishing long rangers.

He made his national team debut against UAE in a 1-0 victory in the 2002 World Cup qualifiers.The attacking right wingback has easily been India’s best player in that position in the last decade. In 2006, he was adjudged AIFF Player of the Year.
