LETTER TO AIFF REGARDING WORLD CUP TICKET

23-Jul, 2010 : Today Mohun Bagan sent a letter to AIFF regarding World Cup ticket.

Dear Sir,
I was alloted ticket for the FIFA World Cup 2010 final match at South Africa (Category 3, Row R, Seat 18). Seat No. 20 was occupied by Mr. Ankur Dutta, Vice President of AIFF. However, to our astonishment, seat No. 17 and 19 (which were also allotted for AIFF) were occupied by foreigners, not associated at all with AIFF and they informed us that they had purchased these tickets at a premium. The entire episode shows Indian Football in bad light besides tarnishing the image of AIFF.
You are requested to investigate into the matter at the earliest and take appropriate steps to deal with the offenders.
We hope that AIFF will deal with the issue in a professional manner and maintain transparency, otherwise we would be forced to inform FIFA and AFC about this incident.
