7TH ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATION OF MOHUN BAGAN SAIL FOOTBALL ACADEMY

21-Jul, 2010 : The endeavour, which was started by the National Club of India, Mohun Bagan AC and the largest integrated iron and steel producer of India, Steel Authority of India Limited(SAIL), the Mohun Bagan SAIL Football Academy (MBSFA) celebrated their 7th anniversary on Tuesday, July 20, 2010.
The colourful celebration was kicked-off by the flag hoisting ceremony by Mr. Tapan Roy, In-charge, MBSFA. To encourage Football among the local schools, the MBSFA organized a two-day long inter school football tournament. This tournament was divided in three groups, grade II, III & IV. Eight different English Medium Schools from Durgapur and its surroundings have taken part in this tournament.
Former Mohun Bagan and India captain I. M. Vijayan, Former Mohun Bagan player and coach Jahar Das, senior club officials and their families were present on this occasion.
Also present in the occasion was Mohun Bagan Sail Football Academy coach Jo Paul Ancheri, Cricket Secretary of Mohun Bagan Mr. Kashinath Das, Football Secretary of Mohun Bagan Mr. Atin Sen and other honorable guests.
MBSFA felicitated Mr. I. M. Vijayan and Mr. Jahar Das for their valuable contribution towards Indian Football.
Mr. Vijayan and Mr. Jahar Das both encouraged the participants and the academy wards in their respective speeches.
The program ended successfully with Annual Day Cake Cutting Ceremony. During this two days program, the entire academy premises was decorated by Green & Maroon lights.
