I would like to mention the help that I am getting from few dedicated members, whose hard work is helping to improve the overall scenario of the Academy. I would request the supporters of Mohun Bagan to come forward and help the Academy financially. I would also request the supporters and members of Mohun Bagan club to visit the Academy and if possible to try and participate in day-to-day operations. Also, this is the only football academy in India where any kind of financial help is exempted from income tax, approved by Central Government.”
He also added, “Overall infrastructure of the Academy has improved a lot from its starting days; however, I am looking for some mentors who have the experience of working in grass-root level. I also would like to thank Mr. Jo Paul Anchery who was with the Academy for 2 years but left due to some problem related to his job back in Kerala.”
Mr. Roy signed off saying, “I also would request the various clubs that recruit players from our academy to see that the players get proper chance in their respective clubs. It is also the responsibility of the clubs to give the Academy cadets proper chance.”
